Phase One. A heavy weekend of moving, shuffling, rewiring, cleaning and more reshuffling gets our new studio space into a Phase One move in status. We shut day a little early on Friday and started the move, it has been two and half very long days of getting all the stuff over and placed. Our plan is to do this initial move in and just see how we use the space. Then we'll revisit where things are and maybe place some mini walls and get some new desks & dividers.
For just dropping in with what we have, I think it has turned out pretty comfy. It certainly has a "home" feel to it, which is really nice. The conference room is going to be great. It is a bigger room than what we had previously and seems like a nice room to be in for some pow wows. The kitchen is a separate area and will be a good place to hang if you want to get off the production floor. There is a Space Invaders pinball machine and a Death Race arcade console in there - whether those Ebay purchases even power up remains to be seen.
We'll get the rest up and running this Monday and be back on the bits in rapid fashion.
