Got a jar of coins that you have been adding too for a while? Hope that you do, cause this is fun. Go to Coinstar and search for a machine in your zip code that offers the Gift Cards as payment. If you do the gift card route you don't get charged by Coinstar for the counting - you get every penny of your change to put towards fun stuff.
I went for the iTunes gift card. Given the announcement of Apple now renting movies and of course all the music I buy, this was perfect. I had to drive about 15 or 20 minutes to a crazy place that had a Coinstar that did the gift cards, walk through crazyville and through a "smoke room" as the clerk called it (which is where people were pulling slots, playing pool and starring at your coinage). It was all worth it, as I walked out of there with $114 bucks in iTunes money!!! Boo-ya.
It's great cause it feels like free access to Movies and Music cause that change was just sitting there.
What have I bought so far... nothing. Just like seeing that amount in my account and doing the Dr. Evil laugh. Muh-hah-hah-hah.
