Vampire Weekend brings us some flavor in the audio zone.

I was immediately hooked by their sound. To me it was like someone sat down to write an album that would inspire Wes Anderson to make another movie, simply to use these tracks as the soundtrack. Think Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, etc. Think slow motion normality scenes set to the off-beat music uncovering the obscure feeling of day to day life in all it's wonder.

Heck, it makes me want to direct a film. Grab the album - hopefully it jives with you as well and brings about some ideas, or at least a quick escape.
