You gotta love being ramp side watching a skate event at Bob Burnquist’s Dreamland Skate Park. The only guy to have a full on Mega Ramp in his backyard. Bob is such a nice guy and quite the dare devil; which is always fun to watch. He put on this event with a team of skaters and they ripped it up all weekend long.
For a finale he had a sport helicopter ‘ride the ramp.’ Insanity. Then Bob proceeded to jump out of the copter onto the mega ramp. As if that wasn’t enough, he took to the air high above the mega ramp and jumped out to parachute down. Crowd pleaser, indeed. It was incredible to be there watching and cheering.
Even better my dad got to come with us and watch the action up close. We’ve shared photos and videos in the past, but being there is a whole different experience (of course). There is a large hillside that all the spectators can camp out on during the event. We even saw Jason Mraz there.
