Snapped this shot from the top of the Biotech building:

First thing after I woke up (from hard disk crash) at the hotel I got in touch with Gregory and he started me off with a challenge. He SMS’d over some really long swedish words and told me to head to the bus station and make my way over to where he had us working for the day. Having never been outside the USA (except for a cruise) I hadn’t done this in a foreign land before, so I was ready to jump on whatever bus looked like it was heading in a pleasant direction. Luckily this is a pretty easy place to visit as just about everyone can speak English (though there are more ooww-ottten gerrrr-sterkin-ishes flying through the air than hellos).

Public transit in Göteborg, Sweden is clean as a whistle. Really really nice. I mean you can see in this photo that people even use the provided trash bins, which in Atlanta that would require a feat of cosmic proportions.

I made it to the correct stop after reading off every other stop in-between just bewildered on whether or not I have chosen the right bus. Finally I see the proper alignment of characters that make up the place I’m looking for, so I jump off and head up the building we’ll be working at today.

I haven’t used it yet. Just about everyone speaks english. So, if you start to talk in english they pick up and can match conversation. Makes it a nice way to do my first international trip cause i’m not totally cut off. + these are my people!
