We all learn better through experience. When it comes to experiencing things to the fullest one man floats to the top of that list – Sir Richard Branson. I consider Branson a mentor and I gain insight from the way he has successfully navigated the world of business and balanced that with a life of unique experiences and enjoyment.

I’d venture to say we’d all dig the idea of owning our own island and having that be a sanctuary for creative escapes and time with close family and friends. Necker Island is that dream come true for Richard and the tale of how he came to own that island is great one. He talks about it in his book and the manner in which he found Necker exemplifies the kind of forward spirit he surfs through life with.
